Project timeline
- 2019: Design consultants retained, pre-design begins
- 2019: Preliminary design
- 2020: Detailed design - community engagement
- 2021-2022: Construction
- 2023: Community centre partially open!
- 2024: Pool remains closed for renovations
Construction Progress
May 2024
Pool scaffolding has been removed and deep cleaning is in progress
- Pool tile inspection and repair is in progress
- Ongoing fire alarm system testing that may cause some disruption but will be kept to a minimum
- Ongoing general construction deficiencies are being addressed
- Wayfinding signage installation is in progress
- Installation of exterior metal paneling is complete
- New Arena pad has been de-iced and will be set up for Spring programming
- New exterior Splash pad equipment has been installed. Inspection and testing to be performed in Spring
- New exterior south exit stair and ramp construction is in progress
- South exit doors leading to sun deck are RESERVED for EMERGENCY EXITING ONLY
- Finished landscaping is scheduled for completion in Spring
