Our growing City needs new ward boundaries

Potential changes coming to Vaughan’s boundary structure

The City of Vaughan is growing and changing every day and our ward boundary structure needs to reflect these changes. The Vaughan Ward Boundary Review (WBR) is currently looking at the City’s ward boundaries to see if any changes are needed. Here’s what you need to know…

Why do we need a ward boundary review?

The City is growing at a rapid rate and Vaughan’s current ward alignment has not kept up with this growth. The Vaughan WBR is examining the City’s current ward boundaries and has developed three options for changing the boundaries. This is to create more equal representation for municipal elections in 2018, 2022 and 2026. An independent team of consultants is carrying out the review.

What are the options?

Option 1-01

Option 2-01

Option 3-01

How can you participate?

Residents and stakeholders can participate and rank the options by attending a public meeting or taking the survey online. The City will be holding public meetings to gather feedback from everyone. The first 30 minutes will be an open house followed by a presentation and discussion.
